Honda NSX (2016-2022) boot space & seating
The Honda NSX is good enough to be a daily driver if you travel light, but a Porsche 911 is a lot better still
Length | Width | Height | Boot volume (seats up) |
---|---|---|---|
4,487mm | 1,939mm | 1,204mm | 110 litres |
The NSX is should be easy to live with by two-seat sports-car standards, and the boot is good enough for a couple of soft weekend bags, but the Honda lags quite a way behind some rivals for practicality.
Honda NSX interior space, storage & comfort
Honda has designed the NSX to make it as easy as possible to get in and out of, so graceful access and egress is more achievable than you might imagine, even if a Porsche 911 makes this easier still. After all, this is a very low-slung sports car.
Interior space is limited, even by the low standards of this class. There’s plenty of room for a leggy driver and passenger to get comfortable, but otherwise the only place to put your stuff is in the small, lidded area behind the seats or in the tiny glovebox or door pockets. You don’t even get cup-holders.
Both the Porsche 911 and BMW i8 Coupe have a couple of small rear seats that are great for throwing bags onto, or for occasionally squeezing the kids in for short journeys, and even the Honda’s two-seat rivals generally offer more space around the interior.
Boot space
The NSX’s boot, located just behind the mid-mounted engine, has a rather stingy capacity of 110 litres and is an awkward shape. It’s just about big enough for a couple of soft weekend bags, but it’s a long way off the space offered in an Audi R8 or McLaren 570S, and there’s no front boot for extra storage, either. So, while the Honda will be great to drive on a long-distance road trip, you’ll need to pack light.
