EV Deal of the Day: impressive Hyundai Kona Electric for only £190 per month

The Hyundai Kona Electric is a futuristic-looking family car that ticks a lot of boxes, and it’s a bit of a bargain at this low price

Hyundai Kona Electric - front dynamic
  • Impressive range
  • Good interior space
  • Easy-to-use tech

We really like the Hyundai Kona Electric. In fact, when the second-generation model was launched in the UK in 2023, we said that it moved the game on from its predecessor in almost every respect - an already impressive EV was now even better. To cement its reputation, our sister title Auto Express named the Kona Electric its 2023 Car of the Year.

We’ve previously highlighted that as you progress through the Kona range, prices do start to become a little steep, which makes this affordable deal from Lease4Less all the more appealing. It’s a two-year PCH (Personal Contract Hire), found through our parent site Carwow, and after the initial payment of £2,577.60, it requires just £189.80 per month. If the 5,000-mile annual limit fits your lifestyle, and you have access to a home EV charger - utilising cheaper overnight electricity rates - then you should benefit from attractively low running costs.

The second-generation Kona model is more spacious inside than before and features a bigger boot, too, which means family practicality gets a real boost. But Hyundai has gone the extra mile to ensure that the Kona is well set up to deal with the day-to-day; a standard heat pump helps improve overall efficiency, the rear seats fold in a useful 40:20:40 arrangement, and a Vehicle-To-Load (V2L) function allows you to use the car’s stored energy to charge other appliances.

This particular model is offered in Advance specification which includes 17-inch alloys, LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry and go, smart cruise control, dual-zone climate control, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with integrated navigation. It’s a Long Range version, too, which means you’ll benefit from up to 313 miles of range (WLTP) across a mixture of roads.

With 215bhp, you shouldn’t be wanting for any more power, and the Kona’s 0-62mph time of 7.8 seconds is decent enough. Overall comfort, which is probably more important to potential Kona owners than outright pace, is noticeably improved over the previous model, while it feels more refined from inside the cabin, with little wind or road noise.

All of our EV Deal of the Day choices are chosen from the providers on our parent site Carwow. Our experts choose the best deals on cars we’re happy to recommend.
