Nissan knows a thing or two about building a capable family SUV, and if you’re after an all-electric model that offers plenty of space, then the Nissan Ariya could be one to consider putting on your driveway.

We’ve found a two-year PCH (Personal Contract Hire) deal from Leasing Options, through our parent site Carwow, offering an Ariya 87kWh e-4ORCE model in mid-range Advance specification for £249 per month. There’s an initial payment of £3,286.67 that needs to be paid upfront, while the annual mileage allowance is 5,000 miles per year.

The Advance trim offers a generous level of standard equipment, featuring luxuries such as wireless phone charging, a 360-degree camera system and an electric tailgate. There’s also heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and a heated windscreen should things get chilly.

Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist system is included, incorporating the latest active driver assistance tech. You’ll benefit from Traffic Jam Pilot, Intelligent Lane Keep Assist, Corner and Junction Speed Assist, Low Speed Cruising and Traffic Sign Recognition with Legal Speed Adjustment.

You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the interior quality of the Ariya - it offers a smart minimalist look, with impressive materials in use throughout the cabin. Passenger space is a positive point too, with good under-seat foot room and our own test revealed the centre seat to be particularly comfortable compared to rivals such as the Volkswagen ID.5 and Genesis GV60.

The four-wheel drive Ariya e-4ORCE does have a relatively small boot at 408 litres, due to the rear-mounted electric motor mounted beneath the luggage area. But, all models come with a practical 60/40 split folding rear seat if you need to extend boot capacity.

Offering 302bhp, the Ariya 87kWh model manages 0-62mph in just 5.7 seconds, which should be more than enough performance for most tastes. Nissan claims you should see more than 300 miles from a single charge across a mixture of roads.

The Ariya was crowned Car of the Year by our sister title Auto Express in 2022, and it’s lost little of its lustre two years on. At under £250 per month, it’s a car we’d wholeheartedly recommend.
