The Peugeot E-5008 manages to combine huge practicality with superb style in an all-electric family car package that’s hard to beat. There aren’t many seven-seater EVs currently on the market, but this two-year PCH (Personal Contract Hire) deal from Blue Chilli Leasing means you can have an E-5008 GT on your driveway from £322 per month. It requires an initial deposit of £4,219.06, and you should check that its 5,000-mile annual limit meets your needs.

As mentioned above, this particular model comes in GT specification, which adds a sportier exterior look, including chunky 20-inch alloys, a black roof and spoiler, gloss black trim and widened wheelarches. There are plenty of family-friendly features, too, such as USB charging ports in the front and rear, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a central armrest in the second row with cupholders and a smartphone holder. Other practical kit includes wireless smartphone charging, an automatic tailgate and front parking sensors, while a heating function for the front seats and steering wheel add a little luxury.

With all the seven seats in use, you’ll have access to a 348-litre boot, which is around the same as a Volkswagen Polo’s. But fold the third row flat and it unlocks a cavernous 916 litres of luggage space – perfect for accommodating all of life’s adventures.

The E-5008’s 310-mile range should be flexible enough for most lifestyles, although driving a fully laden car will lower that figure. Longer road trips shouldn’t be too much of an issue thanks to the 160kW maximum charging capacity, which means you can take the battery from 20 to 80 per cent in around half an hour – time for a quick coffee before getting on your way.
