Peugeot announces electric 'brand signature' and revised logo
Electrification will be offered across the French company's range by 2023
Peugeot has announced a new 'brand signature' to mark the electrification of its range, and will also unveil a new version of its familiar lion badge on an electrified concept at March's Geneva Motor Show.
The phrase 'Motion & e-Motion' is adapted from the existing 'Motion & Emotion' line and signifies the brand's intent to have an electric or electrified version of every car it sells available by 2023.
A revised version of the Peugeot lion badge will also be seen on an electric concept car, incorporating blue and green dichroic light effects and reflections on a sculpted surface. It's a development of the design revealed at the 2018 Geneva show to mark Peugeot's 160th anniversary.
David Peel, managing director of Peugeot UK, said: “Adapting the signature we have been using for almost a decade demonstrates how we are a brand that's sticking to principal qualities Peugeot is known for, while evolving to fit with an electric future.
“We have already seen some great progress on our road towards electrification with the likes of the e-Legend concept car, and the year ahead promises to be even more exciting.”
The first of the new wave of electrified Peugeot production models will be plug-in versions of the 3008 and 508 SUVs, as well as the 508 Fastback and SW estate.
