EV Deal of the Day: family-friendly Renault Scenic E-Tech at only £321 per month

You won’t be disappointed with the all-electric Renault Scenic E-Tech and certainly not at this price

Renault Scenic E-Tech - front cornering
  • Class-leading range
  • Strong tech offering
  • Spacious interior

Renault may have retained the famous Renault Scenic nameplate, but virtually everything else about its all-electric family SUV is all-new. At a time when so much is changing so quickly in the automotive world, we really rate the Scenic E-Tech for its focused approach to family motoring and its ability to get the basics right in an impressively appealing EV package.

This PCH (Personal Contract Hire) deal from Blue Chilli Car Leasing, found through our parent site Carwow, means you can put a Scenic E-Tech on your driveway from just £321 per month, with an initial deposit of £3,251.38 - which includes the £360 broker fee. Of course, you can tailor the terms of the deal to better suit your lifestyle if you wish, but we found this particular offer to provide the biggest bang for your buck.

The beauty of the Scenic E-Tech is that it really does cover all the bases, with very few (if any) weaknesses of note. Even better, the model presented here is the Long Range version, which means you’ll benefit from an all-electric range of up to 379 miles and 150kW fast charging ability - taking the battery from 15 to 80% charge in around 37 minutes.

A spacious interior and plenty of storage options make the Scenic E-Tech great for carrying passengers, while its big boot adds another layer of useful practicality. There are some luxury touches, too, with a heating function for the front seats and steering wheel, along with interior ambient lighting and dual-zone automatic climate control. But the real centrepiece is Renault’s openR link 12-inch multimedia display which has Google built-in features such as Google Play, Android Auto and Google Maps to use for EV route planning.

You could argue that the Scenic E-Tech isn’t the most fun to drive, but that would be missing the point; Renault has set up its family car for smooth and relaxed driving, while its 87kWh battery and electric motor produce a total output of 217bhp - which is good enough for a 0-62mph dash of 7.9 seconds.
