Cupra Formentor e-Hybrid interior space, storage & comfort

There’s a good amount of space inside the Formentor for passengers, although its boot isn’t that big for an SUV, at 345 litres. That's less than in an Audi Q3 or BMW X1 plug-in hybrid, which are the Formentor’s main rivals.

Boot space

As this is a mid-size plug-in hybrid SUV, there was always going to be a compromise between boot space and accommodating the batteries, and the Formentor e-Hybrid loses over 120 litres of storage compared to its purely petrol-powered counterparts.

The 345 litres available is also far less than the Volvo XC40 Recharge’s 460 litres, or the Mercedes GLA hybrid’s 385-litre boot. But with a 60:40 split-folding rear seat, you can use all the interior space an SUV of this size can provide you with.
