Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo interior, dashboard & comfort

The Cross Turismo gets the same high-quality interior as its sister car, as well as the extensive options list that can send the price spiralling

Sit in the driver’s seat of the Taycan Cross Turismo and it’s impossible to tell the difference between it and its saloon and Sport Turismo sisters – but you’d be hard-pressed to say that’s a bad thing, either. The touchscreen-dominated dashboard may not appeal to everyone, but there’s no denying it looks stylish and is premium-quality.

Behind the steering wheel is the first screen: a 16.8-inch digital driver’s display that has a variety of modes allowing you to select the information you want to see on the move. The screen is flanked by a range of touch-sensitive buttons, which operate functions like the headlights and chassis options.

Moving towards the centre of the dashboard, you come to the main infotainment touchscreen: a 10.9-inch unit for things like sat nav and music. Below that is the final touchscreen, for the climate control. However, you can add another 10.9-inch screen for the passenger to use – for an extra £797.

Equipment, options & accessories

Prices for the Taycan Cross Turismo start from well over £80,000 for the entry-level 4 variant. For that, you get 19-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, two-zone climate control and eight-way power-adjustable heated front seats. It also features the previously mentioned curved digital driver’s display and infotainment system as other models, plus wireless phone charging and Apple CarPlay. The more powerful 4S doesn’t add any extra kit, just the boost in horsepower and torque, but the price jumps by around £7,000.

Above those is the Turbo, which also sees a significant bump in power, torque and price. This model gets 20-inch alloy wheels as standard, but the Turbo S gets the most luxury kit as standard, as you’d expect from a near-£150,000 car.

Being a Porsche, the options list for the Taycan Cross Turismo is extensive and incredibly expensive depending on which features you fancy. The ‘Offroad Design Package’ is likely to be a popular choice, with the £1,278 pack adding plastic trim around the exterior to make the car look more rugged.

Infotainment, apps & sat nav

The infotainment system in the Cross Turismo works well, with logical menus and responsive touchscreens making the whole experience feel very upmarket. Plus, the Cross Turismo also features wireless Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity.

A July 2022 software update – available for both new cars and existing examples from the 2020 and 2021 model years – added Android Auto along with optimised voice control, Spotify integration, filtering of charging points by capacity in the sat nav and (where fitted) an improved navigation view on the head-up display.
