Ford Kuga Hybrid MPG & CO2 emissions
While it isn’t capable of the same pure-electric range or fuel economy as the plug-in hybrid Kuga, the full hybrid still offers better fuel economy and lower emissions than a diesel
Fuel economy | CO2 emissions |
---|---|
49-51mpg | 125-133g/km |
Overall, this Kuga FHEV can’t touch the Kuga PHEV when it comes to fuel economy or CO2 emissions: the latter is capable of up to 202mpg and produces just 32g/km of CO2. Plus, the Kuga PHEV is also capable of driving up to 35 miles on electric power alone. However, compared to other non-plug-in hybrid SUVs like the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and Kia Niro, it’s what you would expect.
Ford Kuga Hybrid MPG & CO2 emissions
As noted above, you can also buy the Kuga with a mild-hybrid or plug-in hybrid powertrain. The full hybrid we’re looking at here does offer improved fuel economy over a typical diesel SUV, but is far behind the 202mpg the plug-in hybrid is capable of. The same is true for Kuga Hybrid’s CO2 emissions. With a smaller battery than the plug-in hybrid variant, it can’t travel as far on electric power alone. Instead, the electric motor is primarily for assisting the petrol engine and increasing the Kuga FHEV’s fuel efficiency.
